Jouke Kleerebezem
Born in Wassenaar Netherlands.
Lives and works at Le Moulin du Merle in Bourgogne, France.
Artist Jouke Kleerebezem, from his formal education in typography, photography,
drawing and printing techniques, since 25 years develops a body of work which
consists of both creative and organisational as well as critical projects. He
exhibits and publishes widely in international media. Since 1994 his work is
deeply informed by network communication technologies and their cultural affordances.
He was long time affiliated with Mediamatic and Doors of Perception. Since 1999
he lives and works from rural France. He holds a position as Advising Researcher
at the Design Department of the Jan van Eyck Academie Center for Research and
Production, in Maastricht the Netherlands.
